What is this drug and what is it used for?
Soluvit N is a water-soluble multivitamin injection that contains all the essential water-soluble vitamins. It can be administered intravenously with other injectable solutions such as Aminoven, Lipovenous, SmofLipid, dextrose, and electrolyte. It is used to meet the daily requirements for water-soluble vitamins in children and adults, and to support the immune system function. The only multivitamin for intravenous use that contains folic acid, which is important for purine and pyrimidine metabolism, and its deficiency leads to megaloblastic anemia.
How is this drug given?
It must be diluted with 10 ml of sterile water before administration. The prepared solution should be used within 8 hours of preparation. Dosage in adults and children over 10 kg is 1 vial per day, and in children under 10 kg is 1 ml/kg BM/day (from a vial diluted to a total volume of 10 ml).
