What is this drug and what is it used for?
Propoven 2% is supplied as a 50 ml vial of milky-white emulsion containing propofol (each milliliter of the emulsion contains 20 mg of propofol) for intravenous use only and is intended for hospital administration by trained professionals, used for induction and maintenance of general anesthesia in adults, adolescents and children older than 3 years. Sedate patients older than 16 years of age receiving artificial respiration in intensive care. Sedate adults, adolescents and children older than 3 years during diagnostic and surgical procedures, alone or in combination with local or regional anaesthesia.
