What is this drug and what is it used for?
Glycophos is a phosphate supplement for intravenous nutrition to meet phosphate requirements in both adults and children.
How is this drug given?
• Adults: 10–20 mmol of phosphate/day, usually by adding 10–20 ml to the infusion solution, or 1 vial daily.
• Children: 1 ml/kg/day.
• Must be administered via intravenous infusion over at least 8 hours and must not be given undiluted.
