What is this drug and what is it used for?
Aminoven Infant 10% is an amino acid solution for pediatric patients requiring parenteral nutrition.
How is this drug given?
• Infants up to 1 year: 1.5–2.5 g/kg/day (15–25 ml/kg/day)
• Children 2–5 years: 1.5 g/kg/day (15 ml/kg/day)
• Children 6–14 years: 1.0 g/kg/day (10 ml/kg/day)
• Maximum infusion rate: 0.1 g/kg/hour (1 ml/kg/hour) via continuous intravenous infusion through central veins.
