Aminoven is an intravenous amino acid solution used to provide essential amino acids for patients who cannot receive adequate nutrition orally or enterally.
How is this drug given?
Aminoven 10% (500 ml glass bottle): 10–20 ml/kg body weight/day (~1.0–2.0 g amino acids/kg/day). Osmolarity: 990 mOsm/L, pH 5.5–6.3. Maximum infusion rate: 1 ml/kg/hour.
